Supply Chain Manager
Crest Hospital is a modern private surgical hospital located in Palmerston North. Crest Hospital is a partnership between Southern Cross Hospitals Palmerston North Partnership Limited and Aorangi Hospital Limited. We have five operating theatres, a dedicated procedure room, a fully equipped 10-bed Recovery Unit, and 30 inpatient beds for extended care.
Our Day Stay facility includes 21 cubicles, with a mix of nine beds and chairs for short-stay patients. Crest provides specialty areas of surgery, these include but are not limited to Orthopaedic, Gynaecology, Urology, General Surgery, Ophthalmology and ENT.
Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
The Supply Chain Coordinator role provides a link between supply chain and the wider hospital, focusing on operating theatres to ensure stock levels in the theatre complex are maintained and orders are processed in a timely and accurate manner. You will assist with receipting, processing, and delivery of medical supplies in the theatre complex and to other storage areas.
This is a hands-on, full-time role requiring effective communication skills and a positive attitude, working with a great team! Our focus is on continuous improvement across the business and Supply Chain.
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and Experience
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a supply chain or inventory management role
- Proficient in MS Office and experience with ERP
- Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy is essential
- Self motivated, highly organised, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Demonstrated experience of building strong relationships and customer service with both internal and external parties
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Physically fit and capable to carry out the role which involves some heavy lifting
- Background in healthcare would be an advantage
