I have a subspecialty interest focused on all aspects of shoulder and elbow surgery, including arthroscopic (key-hole) and joint replacements. Additionally, knee and sports surgery and hip and knee replacements form the bulk of my current practice interests. My medical degree was gained from the University of Auckland in 2001. I gained my Fellowship in Orthopaedics (FRACS Ortho) under the auspices of the New Zealand Orthopaedic Association and Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2011. I have undertaken further postgraduate fellowship training to pursue my interests in the upper limb, sports and arthroscopic surgery. My first fellowship was at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, Australia under the mentorship of Prof. David Sonnabend and Dr Jeffery Hughes. I then travelled to London, Ontario, Canada as the University of Western Ontario Shoulder Fellow at the Roth McFarlane Hand & Upper Limb Centre and, at the Fowler Kennedy Sports Medicine Clinic. I have been in public practice at Midcentral Health since 2013. I am in private practice at the Aorangi Orthopaedic Centre.
