Assistant Procurement Officer

Key responsibilities are to support the onsite Supply Chain Management processes within the hospital which includes but are not limited to:

  • Ordering and receipt of goods
  • Onsite storage
  • Master data management (relating to correct barcode/product relationships)
  • Inventory management and replenishment

Crest Hospital is a leading provider of quality private surgical hospital care in the lower North Island. We seek an enthusiastic and professional assistant procurement / supply chain officer to join our small procurement team. This role is permanent, part time (approximately 20 hours per week negotiable), covering somewhat flexible hours Monday to Friday with the very occasional Saturday morning.

To be considered you will need inventory/supply chain experience plus:

  • Detail oriented with a high level of numeracy
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong time management for managing multiple priorities within deadlines
  • An ability to problem solve
  • Be a team player who can work alongside and provide support to other team members
  • Accuracy in data input and attention to detail
  • Physically fit – capable of lifting up to 20kg’s on a regular basis
